Epilepsy Training For Support Workers

Epilepsy Training For Support Workers

About this Unit

1 in 5 people with an intellectual disability are likely to have epilepsy. This training is a must for support workers who support people living with epilepsy. The training develops the essential knowledge and skills to understand and recognise epilepsy, trigger factors and the different types of seizures. The management of different seizures is thoroughly explained. The trainer will examine and discuss different types of medications used to treat epilepsy, as well as strategies for minimising the risks for participants with epilepsy during everyday activities.

Our Program

As a trusted health professional, they will teach the ‘why’ of your course and are committed to your learning.
